Hi, my name is Louanna Col\u00f3n, I\u2019m a private music instructor in the Baltimore area who has worked with various studios throughout the DMV and am currently operating my own private studio. I teach voice, piano, and violin lessons and have experience from ages 5 through 76. Louanna Col\u00f3n is a Baltimore area Piano, Voice, and Violin instructor. When asked why she wanted to pursue music, she recalled the first time she ever heard Mimi\u2019s first aria in La Boheme<\/em> in her car. The ethereal passion and transcendent manner of communicating emotion through music completely changed her life and since then she has had the desire to replicate that moment for others, inspiring and teaching others to be able to do the same.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Louanna has a passion for teaching that is growing with speed and intensity the more students she gains and becomes a part of their musical journey. The heart and soul of her teaching is leaving her students with a lasting love and passion for music that can shape their life and perspectives. She believes in a wholistic approach to music instruction that includes technique, repertoire studies, theory, and performance craft. She believes in giving her students lessons with which they can grow in their instrument and musicianship, giving them tools and exercises that will help them work toward that goal. She began her musical studies on the violin at the age of ten, along with piano, and continued playing in Symphony Orchestra and chamber groups through university.
